Hello

Here at Home Educator’s Helper, we have been busily collecting some fantastic  websites and will be doing a major update over the next couple of weeks, as time allows. So keep checking back, as there is some really good stuff coming up.

The reason for our post today, is to let you know about a project the ABC is running, called ‘Portrait of a Stranger’ – It would be a great family project or highschool one.

Welcome!

We live in the Hunter Valley, NSW with my two children, 1 cat, 1 dog, and 5 chickens and a rather obnoxious rainbow lorikeet!  I’ve been homeschooling for 9 years and my approach changes often! I swing from formal learning to unschooling depending on what is going on in our lives.

Most of these resources are free – I’ve long held the belief that it is possible to home educate your children adequately for almost nothing, simply by using the Internet and the library along with excursions/outings/discussions etc – hopefully this site will be a blessing to those who are seeking to do just that.

The pages of this site are listed alphabetically for ease of use.

Please note that I have not extensively researched all of the sites linked here, so I am not responsible for any offensive or inappropriate content. The content is a mixture of secular and religious resources – we at HEH do not necessarily hold the views represented in these sites, either Christian or secular.

If you have anything to share that you think would fit into one the categories here, or if you find a broken or inappropriate link, or if you just want to say ‘hi!’, then feel free to leave a comment.

This site is a work in progress and will be updated as I have time.
